Drivers can expect to receive fines after police carried out a sting outside school gates in Bedworth. Members of the Bedworth West Safer Neighbourhood Team have been carrying out school parking checks in the area.

At the end of last week, they spotted two cars parked on the yellow zig-zag lines which clearly state "Keep clear' outside Newdigate School. The team have said that the owners will now received fixed penalty notices through the post.

More could follow as the team has said that it is set to continue to conduct patrols around local schools on a regular basis and warned in a post 'see you next week'

Parking outside schools has long been a contentious issue in Nuneaton and Bedworth. There is an ongoing sting, dubbed Operation Snap, and people can send in footage of issues.

This includes everything from dangerous driving to dangerous parking and footage can be sent to police via the Operation Snap form here.
