Yep, I'm still around though not posting.
Does anyone know the phone number for Amazon please?

Son and DIL have a new laptop. While setting it up on the new laptop
Amazon sent a confirmation email to their (now defunct) hotmail
address.
I say defunct because Microsoft wont accept the password. >:|

Some sort of junk filtering perhaps?
Try logging into hotmail webmail via a browser and looking in the
Junk/Spam folder. If the message is there, then it does look like
filtering.

Thanks but that is how my on and DIL log in. Nothing from Amazon in
spam folder.
Not sure that Hotmail is available any more via an email client. YVMV

Maybe they should create a new email account for use with Amazon and change it
in their Amazon account settings.
Hotmail has been pretty useless for a number of years. outlook.com, which
replaced it, is more reliable, albeit essentially the same.
Microsoft has no interest in Hotmail any more, having told all users to move
to outlook.com a long time ago.
I've had clients with hotmail accounts who never received emails from mail
scripts on their own websites. The same emails arrived ok to other addresses.
