A driver who pulled in front of another car and "forced it to break to avoid a crash" has been handed a large fine.

Takyi Reuben, 30, of Dowsett Road, Greater London, was driving in Eastern Avenue, Southend, on Boxing Day (December 26) without due care and attention in that he pulled in front of another vehicle causing it to break harshly to avoid a crash, Chelmsford Magistrates' Court heard.

The offence was proved via the single justice procedure on August 1 and the Peugeot driver was fined £220.

He must also pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £88 and costs of £90.

His driving record was endorsed with 3 points
