4472? Have they sneaked in a repaint while nobody was watching? I thought
it was currently 60103.

I used the number that was used in Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LNER_Class_A3_4472_Flying_Scotsman. I hadn't
realised that it was no longer known by its "classical" number 4472, and was
very surprised that it changed as long ago as 1946.

I think that section of the Wikipedia article refers to service rather than
preservation; AFAICT the 60103 number and BR green has been carried since
the much-publicised NRM overhaul.

I was on what was, I think, the first steam charter on the line post-Covid,
on 22 May, hauled by British India Line, 35018.

For a while it was even displayeded at York in Thompson's wartime
black and numbered 103. It actually looked quite good, but it's a good
looking locomotive anyway.

Did it ever come out to play in tha condition?

The double chimney is only historically accurate with the number 60103.
Double chimneys were fitted in the 1950s, IIRC.
