You can believe all you like, but you chose the installation and it has
zip to do with the dryer vendor.

why do you need to pay all that again?

The dryer was delivered by the appliance store.

There is no suggestion that erecting the dryer on the wall did in any
way cause the dryer not to work. It is clearly a faulty unit.

** Mere opinion, not fact.

The issue has NOT been investigated anyone competent and independent.
Very unlikely it left the factory faulty.
So the issue is to prove it arrived at your block faulty.

As your dopey handyman failed to check it worked before installation
- no-one is able to say how it was on arrival.
Some disassembly of the machine is needed to even find what the trouble is.
You will have to return it and let the dealer figure out what to do.

Doesn’t matter what you believe.

What matters is why its scraping and what caused that.

Says the fool that doesn’t have a clue about even the most basic stuff.

The installer could have dropped it.

The delivery monkey could have dropped it.

Its trivial to check what is scraping and see what likely caused that.

** First step is to remove it from the wall, sit it on a level floor and try running it.
50% chance the scraping disappears.

There might even be something loose inside - like a tool or a fastener..
The dealer must have a guy ( or gal) who could check that out.

It doesn't matter what is actually wrong with it. It shouldn't produce
metal scraping noises. If it does, then it's faulty.

It is not my responsibility to take it back to the dealer. They need to
send someone round to pick it up at their own cost.

Wrong, as always if you want it repaired or replaced.

the car. It's not what happpens.
