I’ve been using UNDOK to control my Roberts Stream 93i Internet Radio but
connection to it has always been flakey. It often takes many minutes for
communication to be established. The WiFi signal is good where the radio is
situated so I don’t think that is the problem. Anyone else having problems?
Maybe I should be looking for an alternative app?

Sadly the forum is not allowing new users, so I can’t ask any pertinent
questions. But I do have a working remote control unit anyway so in the end
I can’t be ….d ! Nevertheless the forum is still a source of useful info.

This is because the forum got spammed quite badly. Have you tried emailing m o
c ( t o d ) l i a m g ( t a ) m u r o f o i d a r i (read the Arabic way, ie

Welcome to the forum. There has been much discussion recently about the
imminent demise of the Reciva platform which will render Reciva-based internet
radios rather useless. But I understand that this will not affect you since
yours doesn't rely on Reciva.

That was the day the radios.reciva.com portal was supposed to go off-air. It
is still working atm. The station database servers will gradually be shut
down, it is said that this process will be completed by May 21st when no
Reciva radio will be able to access the station database any more. It is
unclear whether stations saved as presets on radios will continue to function
after 21 May.

That's a great pity. vTuner became a payed service about a year ago but
presets continued to function even without payment.

Internet radio hasn't been available on my 83i for a while now - requires some
sort of subscription. And the Spotify-like music service (Love) went bust soon
after I bought the radio, and Roberts won't remap the button. Network media
serving has never worked especially well, and won't recognise lossless
compression. It's altogether a rather expensive DAB radio for me.

And Undok can't find the 83i.

(yes, it was) - and it's just sprung into life! I was looking at the manual IP
settings and it suddenly connected. And it's now picking up and saving
internet stations - thanks very much!

Still have an 83i here - well, now in daughter's room. Undok never worked for
me, and my experience of trying to talk to Roberts about UPnP issues
wasn't....good.

It's a real shame; it still sounds very good, but I think the UI was thrown
together in someone's tea break.
