As some will have noted, I have long been mystified why immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees, who want to come here don't get themselves to Ireland, head North and hop on a ferry to Liverpool. It's a clear run with no border restrictions.

It now seem Ukrainians have figured it out, are doing exactly that.

That's what happens when one leaves their back door open, takes Back Control without taking back control, Secures Borders without securing borders. I'm just surprised it's taken so long for the route to become so popular.

But anyway it is now. It will be interesting to see how Patel responds. I can't see her rushing to meet and greet with open arms. She's more likely to send the army in to keep the foreign scum she doesn't want coming here out, will be deporting those who do make it.
