The franchisor for a cake/coffee shop chain decided at one point to send
its franchisees frozen cakes instead of fresh cakes.

Is the franchisor allowed to make this change? They could say it is the
same product being delivered, just that its temperature is different.

-----

Some franchisees have had a hard time running these businesses, which is
a shame for them because they would have saved up a lot of money working
normal jobs to buy the franchise initially, then to see it all go to ruin.

On the other hand, maybe it's what they deserve by trying to get an easy
job where they just stand behind a counter and give people coffee, and
cakes that they don't have to make.

Depends on the franchise agreement, stupid.

Even sillier than you usually manage and that’s saying something.

They should have thought of that before signing the franchise agreement.

Pathetic.

The point about the franchise agreement is that it didn't specify that
the goods must not be fresh and not frozen when delivered.

That's why there is a law suit. If it was clear cut then there wouldn't
be lawyers involved.

In the case of cakes you could just leave it in the fridge for a couple
of days to defrost.

Such as what? Hiring people to make coffees, and hiring cleaners. Some
franchise owners would never even go to the store. Just sit at home and
make phone calls, teeing up people to do stuff at the store.

Try that again in english, even google translate doesn’t do gobbledegook
yet.

You have no idea what is in the franchise agreement.

It’s a perfectly normal job, fuckwit.

And a very competitive one too for the franchise owner.

Doing better than the other franchises you are competing with, stupid.

Not trivial do with with a labor shortage.

Thanks for that completely superfluous proof that you have never had a

More of your mindless pig ignorant bullshit. Its just another daily
grind. A worse one in some ways given that you have to be there.

There is always more than just one source of ready
to eat food and drink in all by the most tiny malls.
And there is always a hell of a lot more than just
one place that flogs donuts in all by the most
tiny village and they aren't profitable at all.

Not really. The owners would own more than shop and would employ staff
to work at those shops.

The owner would stay at home and send his on the phone and computer,
sorting out orders.

It's a way to get out of having to do what your told all day every day
at a normal job.

often only one donut shop in a mall. They will get their customers
regardless.

Most of them don’t.

You don’t have a fucking clue about how most of them operate.

Yes, they do decide for themselves what is done, but get
to wear the loss of their house etc if it isn't profitable.

There are multiple sellers of donuts in my

It's not just that. They can be at home and make a couple of phone
calls, and then just kick back for an hour waiting for people to call back.

They don't have to be "on" all the time. People are looking for a lazy
way out.

In one mall, there is only one donut shop. People go into the mall to
do grocery shopping, and people who eat donuts will probably buy a donut
every time they go there.

All you have to do is provide the stock and make sure it is hasn't gone
off. There is nothing to it. The only thing would be picking good
workers but anyone with a half a brain can do that.
