France's fascists are celebrating as they always do after the first round of voting.

And the usual right wing media media are excitedly calling it "a close race". But that's merely selling false hope and wishful thinking. It's been this way for years now. Every election we go through this farce of "Le Pen could win".

No she can't. As in previous elections when it's down to two candidates, no one on the left is going vote for Le Pen. They will be voting for Macron just to keep the fascists out.

The far right minority can delude themselves into thinking they have become the majority, but they haven't. Haven't before, haven't now, and hopefully never will.

They can delude themselves into believing those on the left who didn't vote for Macron will simply stand back and let the fascists take it, but they won't. Never have, never will.

Unless there is extensive voter fraud, Macron will win with about two-thirds of the vote. Le Pen will come a poor second with about a third of the vote.
