What a strategist putin is !
Was worried about NATO encroachment, so what does he do ?
Gives historically neutral nations the perfect reason [danger of
invasion] to join NATO.
Also gave Germany and other European nations the perfect reason to
double and triple their military spending, and what has putin got out of
all of this so far ?

20,000+ dead Russians and 1,000's of destroyed/captured military vehicles.
Now he seeks to redress this with a massive set piece attack that, even
if his goals are achieved, will further weaken his conventional force,
while the population is forced into pauper status.

Another kick in the teeth for Ukraine who have been trying to join NATO for the last 8 years.

What does it signal to Ukraine that we are prepared to go to war against Russia, will risk World War III, risk nuclear conflict, risk nuclear Armageddon, on behalf of Finns and Swedes but not Ukrainians ?

I can't believe they haven't figured out they are NATO's sacrificial pawns, cannon fodder for America's plan to destroy Russia.
