Good morning from Somerset.
Yesterday I decided to replace the batteries in the transmitter in the
garden. I put new batteries in, then reset the display indoors so that
it would find the transmitter again. It did, and instead of the 62F it
had been stuck on for days it now said -40F

Clearly the garden unit was kaput! Luckily I had a spare. When Maplins
stopped trading I bought a spare used display from ebay and when it
arrived it was accompanied by the sender unit, and both operated on the
same channel as the one I already had. (There are two possible channels
and the channel number is on a sticker inside the battery holder).

So I changed the sender in the garden and I now have sensible readings.
72F and 1024mb. It is overcast in fair weather cloud at the moment but
sunshine is forecast for later today.

Mornin' from a dry, hot, bright and sunny day here in South
Yorkshire. We've had a clear blue sky with prominent BYT up there since
sun up at 04:54. Temperature out there is 20.5�C (68.9�F) with
barometric pressure steady at 1021.8 mB and RH showing as 50%. Forecast

Tabby came round for supper at 23:00 yesterday, and my!!! Wasn't
she hungry. A complete contrast from Sootie, who appears to have
joined one of those slimming clubs for the last few days. All she's
been doing is finding cool spots to snooze in all day, usually her
kennel, and her bedroom at night. She always seems to have a good feed
and drink during the night, but is very rarely eating much during the
day. Her limp from the accident 2� weeks ago has almost disappeared
now.
