Why oh why are they so terrorized at the thought of an unbiased, open
platform ?
Because they will no longer have their itchy little fingers on the ban
button and thus, their ability to customize agenda to their liking will

Because the lies and misinformation Musk wants to allow harm and kill people.

You might not enjoy the prospect of being able to lie and misinform, harm and kill, when your opponents direct the same at you and it's you and your tribe being harmed and killed.

But probably you will since you'd love the culture wars to turn deadly, would welcome an orgy of death and destruction. You wouldn't stand on the far right if you didn't, wouldn't be agitating for it.

It's not really a surprise that decent people don't want to see that.
