"Supply and demand" doesn't seem to make it down to the level of wages
and salary of workers. If "we" want more engineers, then "we" need to
pay more to attract people to that job, and pay less to lawyers.

Most of them in the first world do the engineering
for stuff that gets made in low wage countrys too.
