£60 isn’t gonna buy you much of an EV. R/C model maybe. ;-)

If you mean £60,000, EVs generally cope much better with water than ICE
cars. The electrics are all very well protected.

Apart from losing bit of bodywork what damge do the cara sustain that force a stop. (Having driven Minis in the early 60's I wa more thn familiar with water causing a stop but it was never anythin major)

Inhaling water is probably the main thing, a mate of mine wrote off a
Berlingo that way in the Gloucester floods. I suspect because of the bow
wave rather than the depth of water.

The air filters on some 4x4's can cope better than those on many cars in
that if they are flooded they stop the air flow and hence the motor
without collapsing and letting water through to the cylinders. IIRC my
Fourtrak had a downward facing "intake" which sounds wrong at first, but
I think that was so that if the inlet plenum did flood, it would also
drain completely once the vehicle was towed out.

Often breaks the pistons or bends con rods. Neither will do the
crankshaft much good of course.

The early Renault Espace had an air intake mounted very low and there were
regular reports of them taking in water and causing a very expensive repair.
