Good morning from Somerset.
28F and 1007mb. It is a cold yet bright morning with the first hint of
sunshine breaking through the light cloud. There is a very slight wind,
but unfortunately from a cold direction.

Best wishes to everybody.

Jim

Mornin' from a cold but dry, bright and sunny day here in South
Yorkshire. Temperature out there is 1.5C (34.7F) following an
overnight low of -3C (26.6F). Barometric pressure remains steady at
1006.2 mB with RH at 86% and slowly falling. Forecast is for it to
remain dry but the temperature is to peak at 2C (35.6F) in he early
afternoon and then to cool to -1C (30.2F) by tea-time, with an
overnight low of -4C (24.8F) is to follow. Another case of Brrr!!!
Sootie breakfasted at around 09:00 and the snoozed in front of the
lounge gas fire for half an hour before going out for a few minutes. It
wasn't long before she was stretched out on her bed, basking in the hot
sun's rays behind glass. Tabby had supper around 22:30 but hasn't been
back yet today.
Celica failed MOT yesterday so is away today being repaired. I
suppose it had to happen some time. After all she's almost 21 in
February.

A car can last a lot longer than 21 years provided you can keep the tin
worm at bay. And when your Celica gets to 2041 you don't have to pay
road tax any more. :-)

My Morris which I still use as my daily driver will be 58 next March,
and despite it no longer legally needing an MOT I put it in for one each
year because that highlights anything that needs attention. The latest
one was in November and it passed with nothing needing repairs. That
proved that all the investment in welding replacement metal for rusty
bits and then undersealing the exposed bits and Waxoyling the cavities
in previous years was worth it.
