Several of my pills advise me to take the pill "with or after food"
(or words to that effect

Here's the quests ion, how much food is food?

My eating regime has significantly reduced the amount of food I eat
after about 1600hrs but at least one pill says it should be take with
my evening meal.

From what I can make out the idea is that a pill taken on its' own
can, in certain circumstances cause things like ulcers. Food gets your
digestive juices going and reduces the risk.

I've asked various medical professionals and I've got back generic
waffle (which is unusual with my GP practice).

Hence my question; how much food is food?
