Cold but quite nice in Tetbury today - 4°C and highish pressure

It's race day here - the fortnightly "everything" waste collection day.
The ladies of the households around us compete to be first to rush out
after the lorries have gone and retrieve all the neighbours' bins/bags
for them - it is something quite special in this day and age to have
neighbours who compete to be the nicest/most helpful.

P.S. Far be it for a humble male to suggest that some of it may be so
they can assemble for a very cold but early gossip!

Mornin' from a chilly, dry, overcast an dull day here in South
Yorkshire. Temperature out there is 5.9C (42.6F) with the barometric
pressure steady at 1027.1 mB and RH showing as 66% and falling.
Forecast is for it to remain dry, overcast and dull with the temperature
to peak at 7C (44.6F) in the early afternoon. Have a great day

Tabby had her supper overnight and Sootie had a lie in before
breakfast. She went out side at 09:30 but returned around 10:00 looking
all depressed for a mid-morning siesta.

Good evening from Somerset.
39F and 1028mb. After a cloudy morning the sun shone all afternoon and
now that it is dark the temperature is dropping rapidly. The breeze has
dropped since the sun came out so it doesn't feel as cold as it did.
