Good morning from Somerset.
44F and 1002mb. The good news is that the wind has dropped to just a
light breeze. The less good news is that it has been raining
continuously since I woke up this morning and the rain radar suggests it
won't stop until lunchtime, so I am going to get wet when I go out soon.

Mornin' from a damp, overcast and dismal spring day here in South
Yorkshire. Temperature out there is 5.5C (41.9F) with barometric
pressure now steady at 1002.1 mB and RH showing as 77%. Forecast is for
much the same with showers continuing for the rest of today and after
the temperature peaks at 8C (46.4F) by mid-afternoon it will decrease to
6C (45.9F) where it will stay until tomorrow. Despite the weather have
a great day everyone but continue striving to stay safe.
Sootie was up, breakfasted and out by 09:00. She didn't stay there
long and was back in her bedroom after having cancelled the rest of her
day and is well into her noon siesta. No Tabby since yesterday morning,
but little chance of her coming round here if the rain persists. It was
a pleasant to see 'squidgle' foraging through the jungle down by the
house this morning. Don't think I've seen it since the autumn.

Thanks. There are not many places left where red squirrels survive, and
I don't think any of them are in Yorkshire, so it will be grey.

I remember someone on TV fairly recently recommending that humans should
eat grey squirrels because they taste OK and it is a very good way of
reducing the numbers.

My baby talk to describe a young grey squirrel. We have a couple round
here but yesyerday was the first time I've seen him/her since last
Autumn.

They're not something I've tried myself but others have said they are
'alright...but there's more bone than meat'. I think Ill give them a miss.
