After the purchase of a MacBook, I no longer need the Mac Mini 1.1 in my
spare bedroom. 1,1 , 60Gb SSD, 2Gb ram 10.6.8 with disc. complete with
17" non apple monitor and keyboard.
What is a reasonable price to ask for it?
I dont really want to give it away, £50 sounds about right to me, but is
that too low?
Thanks.

Too low I'd say. Check on ebay for similar models.

I guess you could take a look on sales sites such eBay to get a feel of
what you might get. Has it really got an SSD
Internal drive?

That's the 2006 Intel version, I assume?

Sales prices on ebay seem to be about £15 to £45.

One thing to consider is whether you want to sell the monitor with it or
not. It's likely to bump the postage costs substantially, and a buyer
probably already has a monitor they want to use.

Not so much an issue if selling locally, but I wouldn't expect a 17" LCD to
add much if any value to the bundle. Someone will buy it for its
retro/classic appeal, not because it's the best option because they don't
already have a computer. Selling the monitor separately might get you say
£10-20 for someone who wants a small monitor.

(If the monitor was an Apple, or something 'vintage', it might be different)

If that means first generation, PowerPC G4, or the next, Core Duo,
it is worth next to nothing.
Too old to be really usable, not old enough for vintage value.

So, whatever you can get for it,

Jan

Core Solo or Core Duo (according to MacTracker) going by the Model
Identifier. Early or late ‘06.

Yes, I should have said 1.83Ghz (Mhz?) Intel Core Duo.
It looks like £50 may be the top estimate, thats OK, I've had my use out
of it.
Thanks all.

Yes, 60gb SSD.
I did look on ebay, but prices are ridiculously varied, some have
finished at £10, others at £45+, for ones which look remarkably similar.

Fine, I stand corrected! It might add a little to its value though.

Old Mini's do have uses, I have a couple here, not quite that old but upgraded
ram and ssd's. That upgrades like that are easy is a bonus.
One is my media server with Plex plus other related stuff, the other runs
SecuritySpy for the cameras and Homeassistant in a VM for all the IoT toys.
At the prices above they are cheaper than a Pi if you ignore the slightly
higher running costs.

Sure, and it will run MacSoup too.
I still have one I use occasionally to run an expensive Canon scanner,
(in the best Canon style they never issued an upgrade for the driver)

I have not recently bought anything Canon,
but I know that they had a poor reputation for longer term support.
(far shorter that the expected lifetime of the product)

They may have improved, don't know,
