Indeed. Oh well, the rent's paid and the missus has

Great as long as you don't have a black and white telly.
I have one up in the bedroom connected to a netgem freeview box and
modulator. Very quirky, seeing the CRT I'm told but the audio is still in
colour from the box.

Not that I'm a fan of Snooker myself, though It is interesting to watch the
balls when I could see them. I had a wonderful game from the Spectrum which
had loads of snooker and ball games, even some that could not exist in real
life like three dimensional pool and anti friction snooker that could
produce some bouncing ball effects.

And of course all done from the couch!

For those watching in black and white it's the red just behind the
blue. It was something like that I heard on oPt lBcak and the fun of it is
that it makes sense and is helpful if you know the game - because the blue,
like nearly all colours in a pro game, is on its spot but the viewer in B&W
might not be sure that the ball next to it is a red.

That is the most amazing snooker semi-final I have ever seen!

6-4, starting off with a century and ending with a century. Four
centuries in all.

It's Luca snooker!

It's not that Kyren Wilson didn't play well. He got a century too, but
he just didn't get much of a look-in.

I predict a Belgium vs China final against Zhao Xintong, and a Luca
Brecel win.

That was a famous "Oops!" moment on Pot Black during the changeover to
colour, except that, IIRC, the ball mentioned was the pink...

It has been featured on several blooper compilations over the years.

Fair enough it was a long time ago, but it wasn't an oops despite
popular opinion. Pot Black was essential watching for my father (any kind
of sport) and therefore inescapable for anyone stuck in the house - me for
one during that period due to age. I laughed at it at the time and had the
reason it made sense explained to me by an irritated father who thought it
made perfectly good sense and failed to see anything funny about it,

Good call. Zhou a bit more one sided than I expected, though.

Luca can do it if he keeps Ying Tong in his chair, like he did Kyren.

He's the better break (not brake) builder.

It's gonna be good!

The best man won. Congrats to Ying Tong. Amazing performance.

But I was delighted that one of my prodigies opened the BBC TV Channel
Two show this evening!

Local singer/songwriter Rachel Croft singing one of her own songs!

I first heard her busking in York in 2014 and gave her her first ever
radio show.

Chuffed!
