Kicking the can down the road, again again:

East West Rail said it "continued to refine plans" for the
railway and expected to share more detailed proposals at a
public consultation in the first half of 2024.

So that's at the end of June, presumably.

I just love the way they have "preferred routes", airbrushing out
earlier quite different preferred routes. And the latest published
plans quite clearly show they don't expect hardly anyone to do
Oxford<>Cambridge trips, and yet that zombie justification just
won't die.

I presume the Tempsford station would only be served by local services
to Peterborough (change for anywhere further north).
