Hi All,

I am due to return to horsham tomorrow on the return half of an off peak
(any permitted) open return.

I am considering instead travelling to Rugby tomorrow, breaking my journey.

staying a day or two and then continuing to Horsham (original suggested
route (by Trainline) was via Horsham).

I FEEL that this would be permitted on this ticket.

Can anyone confirm that this is the case??

Yes, WCML is the obvious route, so a break on the return, if your ticket
allows, is fine. If you like beer, the bar on Carlisle station is nice,
you'll have enough time there for a quick one after coming from Dumfries.
