Assume he won't re-contest his seat.

He won't go to a by-election as Labor would win given the WA situation.
I would think his position is untenable to run again given all the
baggage he is carrying,
This should not be the end of the matter a Member of Parliament
accepting a $million still reeks. It should be referred to the Federal
ICAC, OH WAIT a couple of years after we were promised one nothing has
happened.

And, aren't we still waiting for the investigation into Sam Nastari (or
whatever his name is) and his dealing with that Chinese millionaire??

Nope, he has spelt out what he did and isn't even a polly anymore.

His dealings were out in the open while being very stupid, what is funny
is that Porter led the attack on Dasrari. The difference is that Porter
is a Minister in government who refuses to say where the money came
from. Money does not magically appear in your account you can always
tell were it came from or maybe he got it in a ALDI bag. Either way
AUSTRAC would be interested in the deposit.

Love the use of 'Blind Trust' to try and sanitise receiving the money. I
will suggest very cynically and without basis that Palmer is involved.
This needs a hell of a lot more investigation and not by the PM's Department

Da, wondering who put the cash into the blind trust. Maybe Porter's
chums from Hale School, now successful and rich? But they would know
this is just wrong. About the only suspect stupid enough to think they
could get away with it is Clive Palmer.

It wasn't a blind trust.

Porter knows where the money came from but is now saying it was given on
