Someone on a web forum (https://whrl.pl/Rgt7b0), said they tried to post
something and put their work address as the return address on the parcel.

They were told that they must put their home address, as per their
drivers licence, not another address.

Is this correct, in terms of postal laws and regulations?

Since one is not required to have a driving licence, it's hard to see
how this could possibly be true.

https://auspost.com.au/content/dam/auspost_corp/media/documents/Appendix-01.pdf

Page 2 mentions the sender's return address, and says nothing about
which address it should be.

Sounds like the poster met an Australian Post Karen.
