I think you need to be clearer , earasing a disk isn't the same as re-partitioning a drive.

The words drive and disc are not always clear either as to what anyone might mean.

it also might be differnt for SSDs that's solid state Drive, not SS Disc ;-)

Well I'd 'google' , try here on this NG and maybe try Apple forum(s) or if I knew anyone that had done it.
