Still, I'm home at the moment, off the IV antibiotics and on oral ones,
feeling at least semi-human and with the possibility of being released
from penile servitude in just over a week's time - although after the
hideous few days which followed last Friday's attempt, I'm not holding
my breath.

I think I'd feel a bit less peed off about it if this whole business
weren't entirely iatrogenic.

I shouldn't think so, and even if I could, I wouldn't. They always warn

I hope the next week or so sees them put things right for you, as far
as they can. I do so sympathise as have a few things I am not asking
for help with as from previous experience the help is worse than the
problem. Between the UK system where they might just be wrong and the
US one where they might just be trying to pay off their kid's school
fees, not ruling out also being wrong there too, it is a bit scary.

On the other hand I just had 2 cataracts removed and the care from
Moorfields outreach place at Potter's Bar was first class. Unlike our
draw in the post-code lottery that is the GP system now.

A friend lost a leg to it, following a cycling accident.
I suppose it could be vaguely applied to my latest weird (and scary)
neurological symptoms which I blame on the site, very high on my arm,
chosen for my first Covid jab over a year ago.

When my village quack used the word "iatrogenic" I did not know the word but knew enough Greek to understand it. He on the other hand knew the word but not its classical origins.
