A thread going through a whole bunch of fascinating - and sometimes
wonderful - designs that didn't make it to production, or not even past
the early design process. As the author also says, it's a real shame
that no.5 "Jonathan" didn't make it through. Lots of the others would
have been amazing too.

Fascinating indeed, the weird and the wonderful - but which is which?

Some of those designs seem well ahead of their time. Were the massive
hinges on some of the laptop designs really needed or just a design
feature?

My favourites are the Snow White designs, which still look fresh and clean.
