Thanks. I did nothing special today, but on Wednesday 13th I intend to go to North Leigh Roman Villa where the mosaic shed will have one of its rare open days.

How superb. I hope you have an excellent time. I'm not sure the
weather is looking too good for Wednesday which might affect time
spent amongst the ruins but I imagine that won't be a problem in the
shed.

I thought they only installed mosaic floors in high status buildings.
It seems odd to have one in a shed.

Bit of a disappoinment. The shed was indeed open, but the mosaic has little mats dotted around it where the volunteers (in be-socked feet) were cleaning it. Not a great improvement on peering through the windows, though better lit.
