Of course, petrol prices are beyond the control of the gummint.

Here in S/E Melburg tonight......

$1.61 for 91 at Caltex/Woolworths...
$1.94 300 metres up the road at Shell/Coles

Thankfully the Ranger is cheap to run.. 800k from a tankful of diesel @
$1.60. I previously railed against diesels, but the local servo now has
diesel at every pump, and this bus doesnt drink anywhere near what the
2012 Navara did. Lot quieter, and when you boot it, hang on. No need for
an Idrive throttle controller, ala Navara....

Agree, apart from how much they tax it they don't have much say in the
price.

Scummo is winding up the bullshit with the election approaching.
I'm sure Murdoch will be right along side pushing the lies and the usual
card carrying LNP stooges too stupid to look beyond the headlines will
repeat it here as fact ad nauseam - as per usual.

I hope the useless happy clapping fuckwit gets his arse handed to him at
the next election.

No, they don't, but they're as bad as each other. A couple of days ago
some Federal Labor fuckwit was on the TV blaming Morrison for the recent
petrol price rises.

Ditto. For any number of valid reasons. Unfortunately, as you infer, I
believe that the only possible way the ALP under Albo can knock off the
bellicose bully is if Murdoch backs them. And as the last time Murdoch did
this was 50 years ago then the odds aren't good.

ROFTL :) You said that as if you genuinely believe Albanese is the
slightest bit different :)

For fuck's sake he's a politician. They *all* lie. It's as much a part
of his job as Gillard proclaiming "There will be no carbon tax under any
government I lead" was part of hers.

> The past few years have revealed that he is well out of his depth in the

Yeah, well, we all know how much of a die hard fanatical Labor supporter
you are :)

Here's something to ponder Trev. We've just gone through 18 months+ of
lockdowns which have been devastating in more ways than one. Yet the
economy is in good shape, unemployment is at record lows, the housing
market is booming and unlike most other countries we *haven't* had
thousands of Covid casualties.

If Labor was in office, I'd bet my left nut that you would happily put
all that down to their fantastic management :)

"Its easy to tell when a politician is lying, its when their lips are
moving"
The older I get the more cynical I get about all politicians, they are
all tarred with the same brush.
I don't disagree with why the protesters in Melbourne are protesting and
I don't think that its because they are anti vax, its because Andrews is
a disgusting arsehole but I do disagree with their methods.
I also don't think that they are angry with Andrews just because of the
way he's handled Covid etc, he's fucking up the entire state with
everything he touches, he's created thousands of jobs for his union
mates with so much road works its near impossible to go anywhere.
I was talking to truckie on Sat night and he has to start work at 3.00am
everyday just to get anything done, trips that used to take 2hrs now
take 4hrs so its no wonder people are pissed off at Andrews.

He's a card that Deryl!

Now he's whinging about jobs being created *and* roads being improved.

Yep, The Fraudster sure has the cream of the crop on his team.

Take your time in answering and explain why, using your vast economic

As for COVID deaths, that is down to the states. NOTHING to do with the
Feds. Scummo has been bleating about opening up since day one. The
states refused.

**Nope. The states are the ones to tank for the great COVID-19 response.
Both Labor AND Liberal states. They've all done a great job. That and,
of course, the relative isolation inherent to our nation. NSW had a
better response to COVID than Victoria, due our superior tack and trace
system. That was down to our LIBERAL government. The NSW state Labor
party has been fucked for years. And, like many pollies, I didn't like
some of the stuff Gladys did, but I would never dispute that she worked
very hard for NSW. She made one, VERY BIG, mistake.

Scummo is a completely different animal. Scummo cares about one thing

Of *course* you don't. That's because you have your head up your Labor

He doesn't need to be. He's been Deputy PM, and shown everyone how full
of shit he can be in that role.

*All* politicians are liars Trevor. Being Prime Minister does not
absolve anyone of that duty.

It's not a "dead horse" Trev. It was one of the most blatant lies in
Australian political history, and it's also one that you're prepared to
quite happily sweep under the carpet and ignore because you like the
idiot who gave birth to it. If you had any scruples at all you should be
just as critical of that as anything Morrison or anyone else has done,
but you're clearly not and you don't need to be Einstein to work out why
that is.

Let me give you a free tip: People like you who excuse certain behavior
on one side of the fence while admonishing those on the other for doing
*exactly* the same thing don't paint themselves up as being particularly
well grounded :)

> Gillard was a thousand times more honest and decent and talented, compared to Scummo.

Bwahahahahahahaha :)

You're a card :)

Oh yeah. She was *so* successful in her role that she almost sent the
Labor party to political oblivion, and if it hadn't been for Kevin Rudd
taking back the reigns and making a miraculous recovery the Labor Party
wouldn't exist today.

No doubt about it. She was fantastic. A fantastic failure.

Bullshit Trev. You're as mad a Labor stooge as that "Licensed" fuckwit
from WA who thinks the plastic in laminated glass goes on the outside :)

Two things here Trev. Firstly, I never said the economy was built on
booming house prices, and you need to brush up on your language skills
as you clearly have some difficultly with basic comment. Secondly,
You've got things arse about. The strength of the economy drives
property values. Not the other way around.

> Take your time in answering and explain why, using your vast economic
> knowledge. You will be shot down in flames.

ROTFL :) Trevor, you've already demonstrated that your understanding of
economic matters is about as balanced as your view of political leaders :)

To a degree, but not entirely. The feds are the ones who control the
borders and who administer the vaccines. It's a joint effort, and any
one would fail without help from the other

More bullshit from you :)

No they didn't :)

NSW had a *far* more lax system than Victoria ever did, and the current
Delta outbreak that's been going on down here in Vic for the last few
months is 100% a result of NSW's totally inadequate control measures.
For fuck's sake NSW didn't even mandate masks in public.

The "Gold Standard" NSW contact tracing system that Morrison publicly
bleated about turned out to be "K-mart" standard and failed miserably
once the pressure was on :)

> That was down to our LIBERAL government.

Yes it was. The total fuckup that led to both NSW and Victoria being
swamped with the Delta variant was entirely due to the inadequacies of
Gladys and her incompetent crew.

> The NSW state Labor party has been fucked for years. And, like many pollies, I didn't like

She made lots, and not the least of which was being completely corrupt.

Innocent people don't resign ahead of an inquiry :)

Take out "Summo" and insert whatever name you like and you've just
described every other politician in the country, if not the world. If
you genuinely think that any of them are in it for *anything* other than
themselves then you are naive beyond belief.
