I wonder how many world leaders really had no interest in coming to the
funeral, but had to come because not to do so would be a snub (Ukraine's
president aside - he has a few problems at home).

Equally I wonder how many of those leaders the UK really didn't want to
invite, but felt they had to for the same snub reason.

So, in summary I suspect there are people at the funeral who didn't want
to come, and whom the UK didn't want to invite, but are there anyway
because reasons.

Sylvia.

I wonder if Tsar Putin was invited, and Kim, and Xi, and the leaders
of Burma?
Now doubt Good Queen Bess was spinning (if not cart-wheeling) in her
crowned box at this possible breach of protocol. Perhaps they were
there but kept sequestered in some back room?

And how much did this circus cost the English taxpayer?

And guess what? They're gonna do it all again when they crown Charles
III!

BAH!

Bread & Circuses.

None of those were, for obvious reasons.

The arsehole who currently runs Saudi was, presumably in the
hope of continuing arms sales to Saudi, but chose not to show up.

Vast amounts of loot.

** One needs a good reason to attend a funeral, cos usually it ain't much fun.

BTW:
If the only person at the funeral you know is in the box, there is zero reason to attend.

The poms for not showing up at their most
important funeral for well over half a century.

Not necessarily with that complete arsehole/murderer currently running
Saudi.

Funerals aren't about fun. Specially when you
need to wear a nappy given how long it lasts.

It isn't just about who you know, plenty of stupid
people care about who shows up at a funeral.

Most miserable affair you can imagine and the only person I knew was in the box.
There were two men there who remained aloof from others but were clearly watching everyone.

Sure, but that is a different issue to normal funerals.

It isn't, the coronation will be even worse.

And that stupid fuck who got nailed up by the romans didn't even get a
funeral.

There will be for the coronation, far more.

One where only immediate family and close associates of that small group accumulate to publicly fake commiserate?

The example I posted is of someone honoring a dead friend "'in the box" while no other gave a shit about them being there.
So 100% pointless.

My god you are vile POS Rod.

What most get.

The local italian funerals are by invitation only, but that
isnt the case with the non dagos.

Yes, but that isnt at all common. It is seen with a few
who have no friends at all.

Yes, but not all funerals are that.

The true horror may yet be realized if you compare Liz's exit with
that of Edward VII, at which all the "crowned heads" of Europe were
present, and after which the international situation careered out of
control leading to WWI, the introduction of Keynesian economics and
the Great Depression.... and rampant populism!
We may be teetering on the very cusp of the financial apocalypse,
leading to an invasion of Mongol hordes from China into Europe.
I'm not joking!

There were lots of full depressions in the century before
the Great Depression and not one since then. The 2007/8
fiasco didnt even see the unemployment rate end up in
double digits for more than a couple of quarters in the
most affected countrys. Nothing even remotely like the
great depression.
