A DRIVER was caught texting and swiping on Tinder while at the wheel of his Audi by a cycling vigilante.

Riaz Rattansi was filmed by YouTuber Mike van Erp — but yesterday asked: “Who made him Batman?”

Rattansi admitted using a mobile while driving and was given six points and fined £284 at Lavender Hill magistrates’ court, South West London

Property developer Rattansi, 50, was seen using the dating app while stuck in slow-moving traffic.

In the footage, shot with his helmet camera last June, Mr van Erp tells Rattansi: “You’ve just been caught out very badly — using your phone, looking through Tinder, swiping left on all the women.”

Mr van Erp, 49, has reported over 1,000 law-breaking motorists to the police, including ex-boxer Chris Eubank, 55, and movie director Guy Ritchie, 53, who ended up getting banned.

Last week Rattansi admitted using a mobile while driving and was given six points and fined £284 at Lavender Hill magistrates’ court, South West London.

He avoided a ban after claiming it would cause him “exceptional hardship”.

Yesterday Rattansi, who lives in a £1.2million apartment near Hyde Park, central London, told The Sun: “I take responsibility for my actions and will pay the consequences.

"I didn’t have to touch my phone, I know it’s against the law.

“But at what point did this guy become a policeman?

"Unfortunately he’s acting within the law, so what can I do?”
