I remain surprised that Supermicro (or maybe their shareholders) didn't sue

I think it is likely to last a while, Honor's not got the market share of Huawei and is not
involved with infrastructure equipment or (I believe) standards setting. It was the infrastructure
and the ownership of 5G IP that was worrying the US the most.

But they played a similar trick with ZTE some years previously and damaged that company so
who can tell what's likely to happen? I suspect it won't be Honor unless the US approach is
to want to destroy *all* Chinese phone manufacturers.

I'm very uncomfortable that the US (or any other single government) has this much control over
an industry with the power to decide who can sell products and who can't.
