Hi:

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I can't get Final Cut Pro to
acknowledge a live camera feed - not even the built-in FaceTime camera.

I click "Import Media..." and the camera is listed ("FaceTime HD Camera
(Built-in)") but the little light doesn't come on, and I just see blackness.

It works properly with everything else (FaceTime.app, QuickTime Pro,
Photobooth...). I've tried restarting everything, and I can't think of
anything else running which might be interfering.

Any thoughts?

Have you given it permission to access the camera? I forget exactly where
but have a poke in System Preferences to enable it.

I tripped over a hole that was sticking up out of the ground.
