I don't know that it's part of the same incident, but a few years ago, a
whole gaggle of fairy-cyclists, concentrating on their racing time and
nothing else, hit a barbed wire fence and piled up on it. It was
captured on video and referenced here.

OK, it looked painful (as does the one above) and it's easy to
sympathise with the individuals involved, but still quite amusing in a
slapstick, banana-skin, sort of way. Even one or two of the red-mist
usual suspects here couldn't bring themselves to deny that.
