the Terror.

A successful assassination of A. Hitler in 1944 would quite possibly
have resulted in Germany suing for peace, leaving Germany under the
control of the German Army and later further conflict in Europe
involving Germany.

The allies had come to realise that a live A. Hitler was an allied
asset. At the very least a dead Hitler would see a more competent
defence of Germany.

I can't help worrying about who would take over from Boris if they did
evict him. The truss? Patel? Phrases involving words such as "frying pan"
and "fire" come to mind.

Been reading upon all this, as far as I can see, the Germans had lost
the war in early December, 1941, when the russians realized how crazy
Hitler's plans were.

If Hitler had died in August, 1944, there would have been a massive
sweeping of stuff under carpets.

Having been a denizen of this honourable establishment for rather longer
than the recently relurked wader it is my casual[1] observation that Polly
Tix is so rarely discussed here not becaue of any rool but because most
sheddies find the subject rather silly, on the whole.

On the other hand, arbitrary rools dreamt up by someone or another about
wot is OK for sheddies to discuss and wot is not get right up my shnozz. If
I post here about politics it will be (and has recently been) for the
express purpose of annoying those who claim such a rool.

For shpxf sake, Snipe, learn how to not read posts you don't want to read
and stop wittering on about politics.

Strange that, our biology master was nicknamed Eleanor, for some
