The idea would be just to compare the whole drive. What new files are there.
Even more important, perhaps, are there any "standard" files with a different
size or otherwise altered. I doubt it -- but if there was a key OS file that
was altered, or even files placed around that things like AppCleaner not only
failed to find but were just odd -- unexplainable to even someone who knows
the OS "guts" well -- that would be of concern.

Do you know how often or what it says? I would expect it to look for updates,
and with that type software it SHOULD get updated definitions often.

I can see him posting something he things is "obvious" that it would cause
harm just to see what you, I, or others would do. But other than that as a
"joke" I think it would be too direct of an attack for him.

The number of employees is also listed in the 'company accounts' held at
Companies House in the UK.

They may well share their office accommodation with other people, but
they didn't mention that in their replay to Jon.

The list on the site could be heads with interns or whatever working under
them. Maybe also employee count if interns are not counted? Don’t know.

Corporate structures and interactions can be weird.

Another pal has suggested that they may use 'contractors' rather than
real employees!

You are correct.

I now have a copy of an annual report submitted by Etresoft on 13 April
2022 so I'm in no doubt that the company is /real/. Sadly, it doesn't
provide detail of how well the company is doing in financial terms, nor
does it list the number of employees.

Could be many things. The site might be showing just the long term, "stable"
employees and not the "grunts".
