Just wondering if anyone has used a lidar iPhone , as we;re thiunking of getting a 3D scanner and I find it strange that a £2k scanner with a turntable only has a camera resolution of 1.3MP but does have a scan accuracy (single shot of <0.05mm.

The scanner(s) being considered are the Einscan-SE & Einscan-SP

I'll be tempted to replace the camera with a iPhone 13 or whatever to see, if we get one.

Not lidar, but a few years ago I tried one of the
we-stitch-your-photos-together apps (I don't remember which camera, but I
think it was just a regular phone, probably an Android)

It sorta worked, but the output 3d model was pretty ropey - it would have
required an awful lot of cleanup to be able to 3d print it.

I'm very interested to know if the iPhone is a usable option here...
