It seems I'm a valued customer of Home Despot - and would I like
to take a survey for a chance at $90. Not sure how I managed that given
that there isn't a Home Despot in the country.

This spammer gets an "F - Try harder next time". I mean how hard is
it to do a whois on the target domain and insert country suitable spam ?

Do I spot a business opportunity here? Have you thought about spamming
back the spamming spammers and offering them on-line spamming lessons?

Yes I did and even thought about some details - then I thought about
whether I really wanted high quality spam generators to exist.

Spam doesn't have to offer a high-quality product.

I'm sure some spammers would pay well for an increase in hit rate,
but the last thing I want to see is convincing spam, it's far more fun to
laugh at the ineptitude and hope they stay stupid.

I've got a tin of high-quality Spam, and I want *that* to exist, at
least until I'm forced to eat its contents.

Coo! either it's blowing a hoolie out there, or the birds have taken-up
night-flying: the fatball bird-feeder is swinging about pendulously.

Or, more likely, some unskilled, unkilled rat is trying to get past my
anti-rat measures...

Aye suppose with spam it's all about the profit (not prophet) innit.

C'mon now: I wouldn't expect you to teach them how to do it right,
just how to do it different. Like the 419er convinced to wear a
chicken on his head in Lagos airport.

I'm sure that there are lots of tips and tricks a teacher could pass
on for money that would take ages for the spammer to perfect and once
perfected would merely mark them out as a spammer in a different way.

I would quite like to offer them the text-based QR-type code of
authenticity marked at the top of an email thus:

SPAM
PAMS
AMSP
MSPA
