A wealthy businessman whose hunting dog caused a deer stampede in a
royal park which left a young boy with a head injury and broken rib has
been fined more than £800.

Finn Schioldan’s Rhodesian Ridgeback got off the lead and chased a deer
in Bushy Park, west London, last month, causing the animal to flee
towards a father and three children on bikes.

One of the deer attempted to leap over the family as the dog pursued but
collided with the youngest child, leaving him requiring hospital
treatment for his injuries, Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court heard.

Schioldan, 52, from Weybridge, Surrey, admitted permitting an animal to
injure another in a royal park and was fined £865 and ordered to pay £85
costs as well as an £80 victim surcharge.
