Years ago (at least 25) I was in Palau (near Marshal Islands).
Continental Micronesia used to fly there from Guam, and also had a milk
run around the various small islands to and from there and on to
Hawaii.(now United).

They also had a service from BNE to Guam.

At Koror Airport there was an abandoned 707 covered in jungle
vines growing all over it. IIRC was painted "Palau something airlines".

Somebody's pipe dream up in smoke, no doubt.

But its far from clear that most are worth much even as scrap given
where they are and how much other stuff is far better for scrap now.

Given the short time available to remove your purchase, you'd have to
plan in advance what you want and then go in and extract it with saws
and axes, leaving the carcass for someone else to clean up.

None of the jets is ever going to fly again, there is a reason that they
are abandoned in darkest Africa. Some of the Cessnas may be worth a
look, they're a lot easier to remove and fix.

I'd have expected anything worth keeping to have been removed already,
either by the original owners, or by thieves. The Antonovs look as if
they still have engines, but who wants a soviet era turboprop engine?

The low starting prices probably reflect the fact that what's there is junk.

There was a WWII surplus story.... The US Army had a buncha tanks
on Johnston Island, ready to invade Japan. So after VJ day, etc.
they went on the surplus list.

Someone bought them, drained the gas, and sold it back to the Army.

They changed the surplus pick-up rules after that...
