S'one of them there universal laws, innit? The more space you have
available, the more stuff you have to find space for. Applies at macro

I seem to recall recommending nail varnish remover previously. It will
clear that glue in 10 secs and you could have used it on the labels
directly (so it soaks through) and saved yourself all that faff.

Hmm. I really like the soggy pastry under the crispy pastry, I wonder if
an air fryer might ruin that bit.

Oh, not just me then. I think it might reduce the risk of scorching - it
did seem to get the top evenly crisped, rather than having soggy patches
or burnt bits.
