On one machine if I am in:
https://www.google.co.uk

and I click on the products icon, with small 3 x squares I get a window
with all their nice products:
https://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/about/products

And on another machine I get:
https://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/about/products?tab=wh
This then takes me to:
https://about.google/products/?tab=wh

Which is some unobvious local version where I have to make an additional
click to "browse all products".

I'm not signed into Google on either machine, and deleted all google
cookies on the offending machine, top no avail.

Is there any way of reverting back to the old google I know, where I can
do a one-click to say get translation tools?

Are they using different browsers on the machines? Maybe a newer version of
edge or chrome?
This sounds like something is opening an option without telling you.

Nope, same browser, Firefox. Same version.

In the end I refreshed Firefox and it's now behaving the same as before.
Of course I had the hassle of reinstalling my favourite addons.

I still have no idea what happened. I don't think it was a hijack, apart
from google themselves!
