No, some spatulas do, a *slotted' spatula is a fish slice

In general a spatula is a broad flat implement. How broad and how flats
is moot.
Those sets of wooden things you buy are ALSO spatulas.

As is that ghastly rubber thingy you use on non stick pans.

Interesting, sounds like a good description of socialist dogma/propaganda.
In this case it was references from dictionaries that have rather more
credibility than me when it comes to explaining the meaning of words.

My steel bladed spatula is 1.25" wide.
