I have some grey UPVC windows I want to paint white, and a possibility of buying a brown door which i would paint white.

What paint technique should I use, how successful would it be?

The door would get more wear than the windows

George

You can buy 2-pack paint in aerosol format if you are
good at masking off properly.

This is probably the only way to get a decent finish,
assuming you are capable.

Yes, Upvc tends to go one of two ways with normal paint to my experience.
You don't say if they are outdoor or not, but they stay sticky for ever, or
peel off. I'd imagine its all due to the non porous nature of plastic. Some
acrylic paints seem to work indoors, but don't get them wet!

Oil- or water-based, or doesn't it matter?

Works fine here, I have them everywhere except on steel and other metal.
