Which is better out of Intel vs AMD ?

I have been an Intel person ever since I had issues with the integrated
graphics of an AMD based laptop I had.

Intel seems to be the market leader and is more expensive, so I'm
inclined to go with them.

I stick with Intel, but not because of any issues with AMD.

Some claim that AMD currently do multicore load sharing
better but I havent bothered to even look at the data
because I don’t do enough of that sort of thing to matter.

Good question. Intel gave us 'new' generations that were really Skylake facelifts, but AMD forced them to pull their finger out.
The Tiger Lake looks very good.

FWIW, we currently have two laptops (HP), both with AMD CPUs (and
GPUs) and have had no problems whatsoever. I chose these models, because
they gave more bang (performance) for the buck.

As always, YMMV/YMWV.
