I've just received (well it came in about 2 weeks ago but I just got
back from Johnny Foreigner Land) my Verzion 5G fixed wireless home
internet thingy.

Haven't figured everything out quite yet but the first speed test
result on my phone, hooking up via WiFi, was 314 Mb/s down, 20 Mb/s up.
Considerably better than my cable modem at around 115 down / 6 up,
but I'm only paying for one of the lower speed tiers on that.

I'll probably switch over to using it and cancelling the cable service
once I've made sure I can still punch some holes through it to support
incoming SSH connections to my Linux server.

Just started getting a sniff of 5G signal a couple of miles from home, I did a
speedtest on my phone yesterday: 345 Mbps down, 38.7 up.

You may find it is CGNAT which would piss on the fireworks a bit. That should be
obvious if you can query the device to see what its IP is.

Good point, it does have an option for port forwarding but I haven't
tried it yet. If it won't allow me to SSH in, I'm probably going to
send it back.
