The ex-sweller, ex-DrWill, ex-Champ Kawasaki 750 Turbo has arrived with my mate Brian in Trowbridge, where it will begin a transformation from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan. Don't know the timeframe, but it's exciting for me anyway.

I've been stockpiling parts for a few years, and I think we're in reasonably good shape there. I got a spare Turbo and had it refurbished and upgraded by Charlie at Evergreen Turbo in Florida (the world expert, it seems). We're going to have the frame powder-coated, Dream Machine are going to fix and paint all the bodywork, there's a firm called CC who strip, powder-coat and then diamond cut the wheels, and finally Rupert Paul is going to make a custom loom for the bike. I've a mate from the 750 Turbo forum who has been advising about subtle, mostly-invisible upgrades - disabling the anti-dive, better bearings in the steering stem, swingarm, and uni-trak linkages, and a modern rear shock.

It's going to be a belter when it's done.

I found a red rear in the great lockup move. It's still here.

I /think/ I got it because the one it has at the moment is black and
the wrong colour for a Turbo.
