I am as convinced as I was when Colin Powell stood up before the world and boldly lied about the evidence America had which proved Saddam had WMD, when a fake nurse was presented to tell her lies that she had seen Iraqis bayonetting babies in their cribs with her own eyes, when Islamic State and David Cameron told us Assad's troops were blowing themselves up in their barracks, were dropping chemical weapons on regime supporters.

It seems impressively convenient to have Russians supposedly say "We did it. The Ukrainians did not do it" and provide some explanation as to why, even if it amounts to a laughable reworking of Michael Caine's "you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off".

This is so much bigger than Ukraine's supposed intercept which similarly had Russia admitting they shot down MH17, I am surprised it's not front page news everywhere, that we're not already nuking Moscow.

That it's not suggests those capable of critical thought genuinely fear being walked to the end of the world by Ukrainian lies.
