Went to Woolies yesterday for the weekly shop, the toilet paper rack was
completely stripped. I'm just glad we bought a Japanese toilet.

The idiots are definitely back and it's the same down here. Fortunately
I had my booster shot yesterday morning although I feel like absolute
shit today. Had no problem with a double dose of AZ, but the Pfizer
booster caused a big reaction.

51 thousand new cases in Victoria today, and that's just the ones they
know about from people who could be bothered sitting in a queue for a
few hours to get tested. The real number would be way worse.

We'll all have it before long. It's out of control and there's nothing
we can do about it.

Went to one Woolies, empty. Went to another, plenty.

Yearh had a Pfizer booster last month, not as bad as you but a sore arm
for a day or so. Again no reaction at all to the previous AZ shots.

It's passed now, apart from a slight headache, but at 3 o'clock this
morning I had the shivers like you wouldn't believe.

Hmmmm. Tough one.

Does one reply, "Of course you had it bad Fraudster. No-one else *ever* has
anything 'better' than you". Or, "Well if you're claiming something
Fraudster then no-one in their right mind would believe it."?

Meh.

Go up to the old Bunnings site in Melton. They're doing "walk ins", and
when the wife and I were there yesterday morning we were in and out in
under 45 minutes.

We both had appointments for later in the month but wanted something
sooner and thought we'd give it a try.

I'd suggest that it is both, people have heard that stocks are getting
low so they are going out to get as much as they can lay their hands on.

Doesn't seem to be the case here. Went to one Woolies, TP nil stock.
Went to another, lots of stock. Not that I wanted any, was just looking
for paper towels. I always keep a small stock of such items on hand at
home anyway. I buy a heap when the non-perishable items that I use are
on special.

In the hermit kingdom out west, supermarkets are nearly normal. But due to the freight companies being fucked up, you see odd items like cat food, frozen fish or Windex missing.

It *is* both. At our local Coles on Saturday people were loading
trolleys full of toilet paper, bottled water, long life milk and canned
goods as if they were going to stop making the stuff tomorrow.

People are fucking idiots. Just like people who suggest panic buying
isn't happening are fucking idiots.

Yes, same here in the mid north of NSW. One supermarket had heaps of TP,
the other had none.

I drove past there on the fwy yesterday about 9.00am heading down to
look at the E type and there was a very long queue of cars out the front
of the old Bunnings?
BTW looks like the Jags ignition module has failed, I think that it will
be going back to the place that fitted it for repair/replacement.

That's the queue for the testing site up the road.

It was like that when we turned up as well, and they're using the
Bunnings carpark for the people waiting in line to have a covid test. At
the old Bunnings site they're doing walk-in jabs at the old tradie drive
in entrance, and if you park across the road in the Woodgrove carpark
and walk over you'll see the entrance for covid jabs and you'll be in
and out before you know it.

Probably best if it's still under some kind of warranty.

3 kilometres between them, I very much doubt that is the difference. I
went to an IGA this arvo, plenty of TP. lots of other empty spaces on
shelves, random products, nothing I would deem essential, even in a
lockdown.

Up here its more to do with supply chain issues this time around. Mainly staff shortages.
