Hi

sorry to ask about a question which might be very easy to solve but which I've not found a solution to. Maybe you can help? I have been using PuTTY, version 0.76 on Windows 11, for weeks and today it did not provide the usual login-steps. It simply shows the blank application, then an error box saying:
---------------------------
PuTTY Fatal Error
---------------------------
Network error: Connection timed out
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

and after a few seconds shows "inactive" after I've agreed to the network error.

Any ideas on what I could do, apart from restarting everything? Sorry, as you can see I'm no expert on PuTTy. I apologise in advance if I have simply not seen the solution.

Thank you!

Best wishes

Hi,

Seeing as nobody else has replied, I'll toss my hat into the ring.

Have PuTTY try to connect again.

This is PuTTY's equivalent of the number you have called is not
answering the phone. They could be busy, or they could have fallen off
the face of the Earth. PuTTY has no way to differentiate.
